Resurrection of the Shrivenzale!

I haven't blogged Who-wise for about 3 years. I lost interest as Tennant's Tenth became more and more God-like and painfully broad. The tenth was, for the most part, nothing like the Doctor we know and love. Relative to Tennant's un-Doctor; Hartnell, Troughton, Pertwee & Baker seem like peas in a pod. Marvellous Matt is tantalisingly close to being on the money as the Doctor. He's lumbered with the silly predeliction for tangential, semi-expositionary verbal diarrheoa that Tennant seems to have permanently inflicted on the part, but thankfully there's also more of a cerebral, reflective stillness to Matt's Doctor. The alieness (in Matt's case a slightly bemused and beffudled one) that is essential to the part, has also returned. I look forward to his second full season proper. Onward Mr Smith. I will be waxing more frequently on dear old you know 'Who' this year. Talk soon loves!
